Hotel Packages Combine World-Class Tennis With Luxurious Accommodations

Indian Wells, Calif., August 6, 2008 – Hotel and Mini packages for the ATP Masters Series and Sony Ericsson Premier WTA Tour tennis tournament to be held March 9-22, 2009, at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden, are now on sale, it was announced today be Steve Simon, tournament director.

There are six different Hotel packages available; First Serve (3/11-3/13), Aces Weekend (3/13-3/15), Champions (3/16-3/18), The Final Four Days (3/19-3/22), Advantage Weekend (3/20-3/22) and Masters Week (3/15-3/22), with multiple hotel choices for each ranging from the award-winning Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa to the Best Western Palm Desert Resort, so that all fans can customize a package to fit their different interests, needs and affordability. The First Serve package will provide an additional evening session, Thursday, March 12, which the tournament is adding to its 2009 schedule of matches.

Hotel packages include hotel/Tennis Garden shuttle service (some exceptions apply); official tournament program; daily draw sheet; and unlimited admission to the Garden Club, an air-conditioned VIP hospitality area featuring a private dining area with award winning food prepared by one of America’s leading restaurant groups.

Last year, more than 330,000 people attended the tournament, and 80 percent of them traveled from more than 100 miles away to attend the event. With so many out of town visitors traveling to Indian Wells and surrounding desert communities, the hotel packages have become very popular and the tournament saw a 26% increase in purchases from the prior year.

In addition to the hotel packages, the tournament is now selling its very popular mini packages which include the Kick-Off Weekend (March 13-15), Evening (March 12-20), Mid-Week (March 17-19) and Final Weekend (March 20-22). Mini packages provide the same great seat location for all sessions located in both the lower bowl box seat section or upper bowl loge seat section. This package has become an all-time fan favorite.
